FSU Ladies Basketball

FSU has an awesome ladies basketball team this year. Jamie, Louie and I have been attending. The team is aggressive, it is fun to watch them flying through the air. I want to be like them when I grow up.

This pic was taken about two years ago I think. Jamie looks the same, I look about the same + 2 years. Fun times.

Late Christmas Joy.

This Christmas tree setting is so pretty I can’t bring myself to take the lighted trees down.  Don’t worry, I will eventually but it adds such warmth to my front window.  I think I enjoy this sight more now than I did before Christmas.

Vulnerability

Today I swam laps for an extra 30 minutes after teaching a 60 minute water fitness class.  I’m proud to be wearing my new Sacramento College Green swim team gear.

It was a Moment!

That’s all it was… a moment.  A moment that if you live in Florida, you don’t forget.

Christmas Eve

In Sacramento at 53rd and S. Street the neighborhood lights up at Christmas time.  The sidewalks are lined with lighted tunnels.  We joined others celebrating Christmas Eve before going home to wait for Santa.  JOY to the world!!

New GrandDog

I have a new GrandDog.  Luna was rescued and it’s clear to see that she was traumatized.   Now she lives with her new kind-hearted and patient family and they are all involved in a training program.  The trainer is teaching the humans how to teach and show Luna to not be afraid.

Learning how to love and be loved gives Luna (and humans) confidence says the trainer.  Everyone wins I say.

Lake of the Springs

This week I’m in northern California with family.  We spent hours on and in this beautiful land locked lake mostly swimming, swimming across the lake, playing on floats, fishing, but this day we went kayaking.

I think I forgot how much I love camping, lake swimming and playing Old Maid on the picnic table with the lantern, being in nature and it’s sounds.  Then to have these guys, their little sister and family loving it too, I’m in heaven.  What a joy, pure joy. I’m in love.

Jam Session

Oh my the sweet sounds of this trio.  Who cares if they aren’t singing/playing the same song, but maybe they were.  It was definitely a musical moment on stage, in concert with a small and appreciative audience. ❤

Grand Babes

They all have blonde hair and blue eyes, but in the summer, oh my more blonde, more vivid blue.  All competitive swimmers, but the first of August swim practice and meets are over and we can just play in the water.

They live on the west coast, I live on the east coast.  How can I be the best Oma I can be so far away?  It is like any relationship, it takes a desire and work.  I wonder as they get older (and I do too) how it will unfold, but for now I’m going to try to do all I can do to help make east coast and west coast memories happen.  For now it is west coast special moments. ❤✈❤✈❤✈❤✈❤✈❤✈❤✈❤✈
