One would think I’m on a botanical garden tour, really I am at my friend Paula’s home this week. I nearly missed this lovely orchid at their drive-way again. It is probably because I have never taken the time to look up. What a beautiful site. What else have I missed?

Vandas happily blooming away in December. In a crepe myrtle tree. They have taken on a couple of mild freezes with no apparent trouble. If the winter remains mild they will grow and prosper, and I may try installing some more vandas. I am so lucky!
